Surrealist photographer signs
 SAN FRANCISCO -- Image Conscious announces the signing of photographer Thomas Barbey to a poster publishing agreement. Inspired by Rene Magritte, M.C. Escher, Roger Dean and from his travels throughout the world, Barbey's process of photo montage begins with a concept that is molded in the exposure and selection of negatives. The design is then created using a number of printing procedures as combination printing. He says the titles to his finished works are "the glue and the substance of the pieced."
